ZEBRA has created the Jimnie BioTube, the first ballpoint pen on the market that uses biomass plastic extracted from sugar cane in the tube of the refill and recycled plastic for the pen body. This ballpoint pen offers an eco-friendly alternative to the well-known Jimnie ballpoint pen.
The refill is made of biomass plastic, which has received the (Japan Biomass Plastic) certification. By using this special refill, CO2 emissions can be significantly reduced. The body of the ballpoint pen is made of 72% recycled plastic and received the Eco certification in Japan. The packaging of the Jimnie BioTube refill (CEK) is also environmentally friendly, as it is made of 40% recycled paper.
This unique pen is available in three colors. When designing it, we drew inspiration from the colors of the earth: the blue of the sky, crystal clear water and the colors of the rising sun. Available in blue, black and red ink, with 0.7 mm point size. Its emulsion ink combines the excellent features of ballpoint and gel pen ink.
